Rabbi Sigal Brier is the Director of Rabbis Without Borders at CLAL (National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership in NYC.) CLAL is a cutting edge think tank where she leads programs and mentors rabbis and rabbis-in-training to take Jewish wisdom to the public square where it can meet and enrich the life of all humans.
Rabbi Sigal Brier teaches and leads workshops on
Kabbalah and mysticism, meditation, spiritual Judaism,
and Integrated Judaism at Jewish and holistic
organizations around the country.
She brings an integrated approach to her
work weaving rich spiritual practices, which include
text study, meditation, movement, chanting, and yoga.
She has served as a rabbi in various congregations for 10 years.
Rabbi Sigal received a master's degree in psychology
from West Chester University and Rabbinic ordination and
a master's degree in Jewish studies from
Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. Sigal, a student
of yoga and holistic life style for 25 years, is also
trained in alternative methods of healing and spiritual
facilitation. Rabbi Sigal recorded several
music albums
and is writing a book about integrated spiritual practices
and is recording
CDs with Kabbalistic meditations.
Her interests include attunement and awareness
practices, music, dance, liturgy, creative rituals, and
mysticism. She is the founder of
Integrated Judaism and Integrated Practice: the art
of moving through prayer. She has also written and
published works on friendsickness in the transition to
college, women's issues, and creating community in the
workplace.
